The past two weekends filled Central Park in Atlanta with not only incredible music lineups, but also festival food options worth the days in the heat. We've compiled an overview of the most popular food stops which catered to both Shaky Knees and Shaky Beats Festivals. 1. Pizza Nova
This stop offered up individual slices and whole gluten free personal pan pizzas. If you're looking for a filling option for just a few dollars, this is the choice for you. Pizza Nova is a concession-only establishment, meaning that they only operate for hired events. At next years' Shaky Knees and Shaky Beats Festivals, keep an eye for them as each pie is made exclusively for the event, and their slices are huge. Also be on the lookout for a man with a Pizza Nova ankle tattoo, spinning pizza dough in the air throughout the venue.
2. Pie Daddy
Pie Daddy serves a fusion of Trinidadian and American delicacies. In addition to some of their more exotic options which include Caribbean Fried Pies and Chick Pea & Potato Curry, they also offer American classics. Throughout both festivals, there always seemed to be a long line in front of their food truck, and majority of the customers walked away with baskets of crispy chicken tenders and fries-- an ensured festival-friendly, mobile food option.
3. Island Noodle
Island Noodle's food booth featured one giant, cast-iron wok filled with fresh vegetables and stir-fry noodles making this an exceptional option for vegetarians who wanted a large portion of "transportable" food. This option is also only available through event bookings, but I have a feeling we'll be seeing them next year too.
4. Chipotle
If you're not a Chipotle fan, just keep on scrolling; but let's be honest, we all love a good burrito bowl from our favorite 'healthy Mexican fast-food chain'. Chipotle made an appearance at both Shaky Knees and Shaky Beats. They came equipped with a miniature version of one of their food lines. Unfortunately, they only offered a few options for add-ins including two types of meat, one type of rice, and only two toppings, but I can tell you first hand it still tasted just as good.
5. King of Pops
Although you can most likely find King of Pops products in your local grocery store, I would say that the addition of these popsicle carts at Shaky Knees and Shaky Beats Festivals drastically enhanced the experience of both events for many people. Whether you're dancing, walking, or basking in the hot sun through hours of performances, there's nothing that a sweet, cold popsicle for only a few dollars can't fix. I could have easily eaten them all day long during the festivals, but I maxed out on three popsicles one of the days. To be honest, I didn't even buy the popsicles because I was in the mood for them; I bought them because I was in need of something cold and hydrating--luckily they just happened to taste amazing too.
