Sometimes you just crave a rich, chocolate dessert, but can't muster up the energy to leave your dorm in the middle of winter. These truffles are perfect for college students living on campus that have limited access to ingredients, cooking tools, and motivation. You can make these 3 ingredient truffles in your dorm kitchen while only getting a few bowls dirty. These truffles look sophisticated, yet they are super quick and easy to make. So even if you don't consider yourself a baker, you can treat yo' self to this decadent dessert. 

Ingredients:

One pack of Oreo cookies

One 8-oz package of cream cheese

Two packages chocolate chips

Topping (optional)

1. Finely crush Oreo cookies

Put Oreo cookies in a ziplock bag, seal well, and smash with a fork (or your fist). Then, add to a large bowl.

2. Mix in package of cream cheese.

Allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature and then add to bowl with crushed Oreos. Mix until completely combined.

3. Roll cream cheese mixture.

Take a small amount of batter (about 1 Tbsp.) and roll into balls. Place onto to a wax paper lined tray and place in refrigerator for 10 minutes.

4. Melt chocolate chips. 

Pour chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval.

5. Dip Oreo balls in melted chocolate. 

Using a spoon or a toothpick, dip into the chocolate, and completely coat. Don't worry if they are messy - the more chocolate, the better!

6. Add any toppings and refrigerate. 

Sprinkle any extra Oreo cookies on top, or use your creativity and sprinkle crushed candy or nuts on top. Peppermints were used on our truffles!

This recipe makes about 20-25 truffles, depending on how big you roll them. Enjoy with your floor-mates!
