We are in a new era of snacking. More food has never been a bad thing, but 24/7 access may be the rise of something great. The wonderful thing is that the universe has given us a new way to snack 'til we drop. At the corner of Peachtree and 6th, a gasless QuikTrip exists.

For those who may not be blessed to have a QuikTrip near them, this Oklahoma-based gas station chain has grown to over 700 locations in 11 states across the Southeast. It has recently expanded to include more fountain drink options, slushies, coffees, milkshakes, and snacks. They're also making made-to-order food like pizza and sandwiches in the newly founded QT Kitchen. This test location is the first QuikTrip to have absolutely no gas attached.

I ventured over to the QuikTrip to get the full experience of what the store was like. Then I proceeded to waltz around the store like I was in a commercial.

The Experience

The atmosphere had the feel of a small convenience store. The entire floor was a snack wonderland. All of the cookies, chips, granola bars as far as the eye could see. There was a stand in the middle that had corn dogs, hot dogs, and taquitos (with additional toppings). I also can't forget to include the fountain of 40 plus teas, coffee, slushies and sodas. Talk about overwhelming.

However, if you're looking to visit there are so many options of quick snacks to grab. There are the classic on-the-go choices like a bag of Doritos or a granola bar. If you're looking to expand your on the go palette, that's where the QT Kitchen comes in handy.

The QT Kitchen is a major upgrade to the traditional gas station. At this counter, you can order fresh, made to order foods such as pizza, breakfast bowls, toasted sandwiches, and more. These options are great if you're looking for something a little heartier than your usual quick breakfast or lunch.

I asked for guidance before I ordered and the guy at the counter was raving about the new subs. The man said that this store was the only one that served made-to-order subs. He said that he brought some home to his wife and she thought they were Publix subs. I have yet to try but the review was helpful for the next time I go.

Even though it was 40 degrees that day, I ended up ordering a milkshake. At the kiosk, you can customize as well. There are all kinds of different candies and flavors you can add. I went pretty plain but I'll admit, it tasted amazing. I am a huge fan of Chick-fil-A's milkshakes and I will say this is a very close second.

Now that I know you're quickly googling the nearest one to you, this new no-fuel store is over 3,500 square feet of glorious snacks and drinks. It was designed to cater to the exciting urban area that is Midtown Atlanta. This location is a test for the company so that they will be able to eventually expand the idea.

My final opinion, this is going to take the country by storm. The idea of more convenient and easily accessed food stores sounds great to me. Maybe even eventually on college campuses? Sign me up, please.

Trust me when I say this is the only test I've ever been excited about.
