I vividly remember my last burger. It was a Red Robin burger topped with crispy bacon and gooey pepper jack cheese- and it was over 10 years ago. Shortly after, I swore off meat for good. When I heard about the Impossible Burger, a plant based burger that bleeds like meat, I was intrigued, but skeptical.

I recently had the opportunity to try it for myself at Bareburger in Greenwich Village.   And as a 11-year vegetarian, I'm hooked.

Since its humble debut at Momofuku Nishi last summer, the Impossible Burger has spread rapidly throughout the U.S., including many fantastic Atlanta restaurants.  Here's everywhere you can try the Impossible Burger in Atlanta.

Grindhouse Killer Burgers

You can build your own Impossible Burger at Grindhouse Killer Burger's locations in Decatur, Grant Park or Ponce City Market. The menu includes a variety of mouthwatering plant-based toppings like roasted green chilies and sauteed mushrooms. Drinking on top of the rooftop bar at the Decatur location is also the perfect end to a long school week.

#SpoonTip: Stuck on campus and don't have a car? Grindhouse Killer Burger's Sweet Auburn location is walking distance from Georgia State's campus.

The Porter Beer Bar

Obviously you're (at least partly) here for the incredible draft list. But don't skip out on the food. The Impossible Burger just adds another option to the solid lineup of inventive vegetarian dishes on the menu. They even have Soysage for brunch!

Cheesecake Factory Lenox Square

If you're looking for less of a "bar" vibe and more of a "lunch with mom" vibe, Cheesecake Factory quietly rolled out the Impossible Burger at a few of their locations recently, including the location at Lenox Square Mall.  While there may still be no vegan cheesecake options, there's a decent selection of other plant-based side options from healthy (Kale Salad) to not so much (French fries).

Argosy

If you're looking for a bougie hipster date night, look no further than Argosy. Agosy replaces both the patties in their massive Plancha burger (the meat version is pictured above) with Impossible burger patties and tops it with American cheese and caramelized onions. But if you get a salad on the side it's healthy, right?

Yeah! Burger

Yeah! Burger crushes the rest of the competition if you're looking for the healthiest way to try out the Impossible Burger. in Atlanta. There's a long list of organic veggies to top your burger with, vegan mayo, and an organic collard wrap that will make you not miss the bun.

Star Provisions

If you don't quite have the budget for Bacchanalia's "finest wining and dining in town," its sister restaurant, Star Provisions serves up fantastic breakfast and sandwiches, including the Impossible Burger. You can also pick up some gourmet cheeses, and fresh baked pastries for later while you're there.

Mix'd Up Burgers East Lake

And finally, if you're looking for the best fry game, you'll want to check out Mix'd Up Burgers in East Lake. Imagine Five Guys style fries piled with buffalo sauce, blue cheese, and creamy chipotle ranch.

The Impossible burger produces 1/8 the greenhouse emissions of a beef burger. So whether you're vegetarian, vegan, or just curious, try one today. It may be the first time you've ever saved the earth by eating fast food.
