For months on my Instagram explore page, B Sweet Dessert Bar dominated my suggested posts. To my delight their West LA location was located in Sawtelle, a popular street for Asian cuisine near Westwood. I was convinced that I needed to try it after seeing Youtuber Cody Ko review it in a recent video on Instagram.
B Sweet opened its doors in 2014 and is run by their beloved owner Chef Barb Batiste. Her treats are inspired by her Filipino heritage and her family. She worked at the Leows Santa Monica Beach Hotel and LA Art Gallery before she began her own business. Now, she runs two trucks (Lil Angel and Lil Devil), two B Sweet locations, and her butters and bread pudding can be found in stores across the country. B Sweet's most popular treat is the bread pudding which comes in eight flavors (three of them being exclusive to each month).

For those opting for no contact pickup, their Sawtelle location is aesthetically pleasing and features a stunning sign decorated with lights. This month's exclusive bread pudding flavors include Hot Cocoa and Gingerbread, which are perfect for the holiday season. They come in two sizes Being Good (one scoop) and Being Bad (two scoops). These flavors take your grandma's famous bread pudding recipe to the next level.
Their gingerbread pudding is incredibly soft and has the perfect combination of spicy and sweet flavors. It includes a strong ginger flavor, but it is not too overpowering. On top, there is a sweet drizzle that adds to the softness of the pudding.
The hot cocoa bread pudding tastes exactly like the perfect cup of hot chocolate. It is not too sweet and the cocoa flavor does not disappoint. Topped with a chocolate drizzle and marshmallows, this bread pudding was the star of the show.
While I went for the bread pudding, B Sweet offers so many interesting cheesecake flavors. As a lover of all things cheesecake, I was immediately drawn to their #RUCereal Cheesecake. This cheesecake is incredibly nostalgic and is for anyone who loved fruity pebbles as a kid. It is light and has an amazing graham cracker crust that brings it all together.
