I come bearing excellent news! Did you know that your student ID can be used for discounts to places outside campus? Read on to see where you can get the best discounts (could be a great way to spend your mid-term break, if you have no other plans).
MOVIES
If you're hoping to binge on the latest movies,most of the cinemas offers cheaper tickets if you show them a valid student ID. Some offer super cheap tickets on weekdays. Events offers $8 student tickets on Mondays and Dendy offers $8 student tickets on Wednesdays (If you're a movie buff like me, this will definitely save you $$$).
FOOD, FASHION AND FITNESS
If you weren't able to get the super cool discounts booklets from Central Park during O-Week, no worries! Here are few apps and websites to grab some of those super offers.
UNiDAYS offers range of discounts from food, health and fitness, fashion and more. ISIC gives out student card that can be used for getting discounts in several places (you gotta be a full time student to get the student card). You can download the Student Edge app to look for offers near you. Another app that's pretty helpful to find student discounts is PokitPal.
