Pre-Work Drinks:

These all have a decent amount of caffeine in them, along with some fresh flavors to get you moving in the early AM.

Matcha Green Tea with Lemon

The easiest way to make this is to buy tea bags with matcha in them OR if you’re already a matcha expert go ahead and make your own cup. A quick and easy way to spice it up is by adding lemon slices, which not only helps wake up your body but also revs your metabolism (awesome for those of you sitting at your desk all day).

Fresh Mint Iced Coffee

I love anything minty and am especially guilty of ordering far too many peppermint mochas all winter long. My favorite summer twist on peppermint mochas is a fresh mint iced coffee. You have two options: make your own syrup or buy it and pour it over black iced coffee. Pick your poison.

Some mornings you just need dessert in your coffee. Rather than putting milk or cream into your hot coffee, go ahead and throw a scoop of ice cream in there. The extra sugar in the morning will wake you up too.

Passion Tea Lemonade

It’s one of the less caffeinated options but still a great one to bring along to work with you. Brew any fruity tea, like old school Starbucks Tazo passion herbal tea, and cool it overnight in the fridge. Mix in a splash of your favorite lemonade or make your own if you’re feeling ambitious.

Coconut Iced Coffee

A tropical drink to get your day started is a coconut iced coffee. The night before, freeze coconut water in ice cube trays. In the morning, brew and chill your favorite coffee blend. Then add coconut milk or condensed coconut milk as your creamer to sweeten the coffee, and a couple of coconut water ice cubs. It’s a perfect and creative way to give your morning brew a more tropical flavor.

Post-Work Drinks:

Now it’s time for the fun. Really no measurements needed here, just eyeball it. Leggo.

Grapefruit Salty Dog

Start with a sea salt rim, pour in some vodka or gin, top off with red grapefruit juice for some color and there you go.

Back Nine

Do you like Arnold Palmers? FYI a Back Nine is a spiked AP. Iced tea, lemonade, and I recommend bourbon or vodka.

Rum Punch

EASY. Start with white rum and then top off with a splash of orange juice, cranberry juice, and ginger ale or Sprite. To make the drink extra fun ditch the ginger ale and get the bubbles with a cheap white wine or cava. Tread lightly with this one.

Cherry Beergarita

Salt the rim. Start with tequila and fill the glass halfway with your favorite beer—I recommend Corona Light. Fill the rest of the glass with cherry soda and limeade. Garnish with limes. If you need some sweetness, check out this simple syrup recipe.

Pina Coloda Sangria

Yep. Bringing two vacation drinks into one is as awesome as it sounds. All you need is coconut rum, white wine, pineapple juice, seltzer, and maraschino cherries. Have at it kiddos.

But when this all seems like too much work, you can always stop at Starbucks or open up a Mike’s Hard. Cheers!
